Speaking with Children and Teenagers about Death and Suicide – Margaret River

This session in Margaret River will offer practical tips and vital information to support our children from early childhood through to teens. How to have those tough conversations and help guide our children through grief. Death can be unexpected but it is inevitable. Being equipped with the knowledge to support our children is a community responsibility. We hope this will be helpful for parents, educators, medical professionals, sporting coaches and anyone else who spends time with children.

Conducted by experienced grief counsellor, Laurissa Knowles, who has more than 20 years experience. Laurissa is the Deputy Chair for Open the Gate, a program that provides mental health strategies and she is fully trained and accredited with ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training).
