A fun, frightful and fascinating Fringe event which will answer all those questions you’re dying to know.

When: Friday, June 20 from 6.30pm – 9pm.

Venue: Bantry Chapel, William Barrett and Sons Busselton 105 Bussell Highway, Busselton.

Join us for an evening of trivia designed to get you thinking outside the box (pun intended) and to spark light-hearted conversations around death literacy. Come inside a funeral home and learn more about death, dying, grief and the history surrounding funeral rituals. At the heart of this event is a chance for our community to break the taboo and better support those in our community who are experiencing grief or nearing end-of-life. You will be in the running to win some interesting prizes. We will have glasses, just bring your drinks and snacks.

All proceeds from this event go to support Go Blue for June – raising funds for Busselton Hospice Inc.

We wish to advise of our upcoming free grief support sessions which will be conducted by experienced local grief counsellors, Pat Kelly and Laurissa Knowles.

These sessions are welcoming, and it can be incredibly valuable to gather with a small group of others who may be experiencing similar thoughts and feelings.

If you have a child experiencing grief, please keep an eye out on our website or Facebook page as we will be having a speaker on the topic presenting at our Bunbury chapel in coming months.

For children grieving the death of a parent or sibling, Lionheart Camp for Kids will be hosting a day camp in Peel in April. Click here for more information.

We also have a resource you can collect from our offices or have posted to you, which may assist children in recording their special memories and to help guide you through discussions about death with children.
